Art alludes to deeper meaning at Mallee Creatives
Roger Moloney has been exhibiting regularly since 1983, across both solo and group shows, including the prestigious Pinacotheca and Solander Galleries.

A DEEPER meaning of what an artist is trying to say in their work is explored in Charlton’s Mallee Creative’s latest exhibition.
Roger Moloney has been exhibiting regularly since 1983, across both solo and group shows, including the prestigious Pinacotheca and Solander Galleries.
His work has been featured in publications such as The Age, Vogue Living, The Herald and The Weekend Australian, and he has been a finalist in numerous art competitions over the past four decades.
This latest exhibition is a collection of acrylic paintings set out on canvas with a deeper meaning.
“The meaning for me is not the physicality of what is painted, but rather the metaphysicality of what is hinted at or suggested in these beautifully constructed works,” curator Chris Wyatt said.
“These paintings are not the objects depicted, but rather what those objects emotionally or spiritually engender in the viewer.
“Spend time with these images and you are struck by a profound feeling of loss and longing, a poetry both gentle and heartfelt, and a dynamic structure that can at times be both unsettling and confronting. They are a wonderful evocation of what it is to create from a deep recess.”
Mallee Creatives is open 10am until 4pm Thursday to Sunday.
