Announced last week, the organisation has received $1500 from Commonwealth Bank St Arnaud Branch through its Community Donation Program.
Since its inception, the program has supported hundreds of grassroots organisations across Australia, helping fund essential equipment, services and programs.
The donation program empowers branch teams to back causes they know are making a tangible difference in their local communities.
“Community organisations play an essential role in supporting people when it matters most, and we’re proud to support that work,” St Arnaud branch manager Chris Freestone said.
“The work St Arnaud and Districts Historical Society does to preserve the history of St Arnaud and Districts for future generations to enjoy has a meaningful impact on people across our local community, and we’re proud to support the important role they play.”
In 2026, the program is donating more than $600,000 to hundreds of organisations making a difference in their communities.
