Best conditions for bowlers in weeks

Conditions were the best for some weeks and it seems everybody was keen to get outside. Bowlers from Boort, Wedderburn, Donald, Learmonth and St. Arnaud Country Club joined our local members for two games of 10 ends.

THERE were 27 players that turned out to contest Sunday’s social bowls over the weekend.

There were three two-game winners for the day.

Winners were Phil McRae and Sandra McIntyre 21 shots up.

Runners-up, both on seven shots up were Dale Stephenson and Di Ostarcevic, and Tom Amos and Anne McNally.

Players finished the day with a cuppa and biscuits.

Best wishes were given to Col Marchment who celebrates his 90th birthday on Wednesday.

Next game of Winter Bowls will be Sunday, July 19.
