Even if it is for a short time.
A small group braved the cooler weather and gathered at the side of Lord Nelson Park on Monday afternoon for the opening.
Families came together to enjoy the mobile track, that has already got a lot of use.
While it is more aimed at middle years youth, some of the older youth have managed to make use of it too.
“It’s a great little addition to town, the kids love it,” one mum said at the event.
Northern Grampians Shire Council completed consultation with the shire’s primary schools and identified a pump track as the top selection from a list of equipment and activity options.
Council then applied and secured a grant through VicHealth to buy the mobile structure. It will remain in St Arnaud for nine to 12 months before being moved to Stawell.
Council said it was not against working with groups like the St Arnaud Moutain Bike Club to secure a permanent track in the future.
