ROUND four of the 2026 season of the Inter-Hotel Pool competition was played last Wednesday with some very interesting results.

Country Club 2 continued on with their good form wih a very comfortable win over the Sporting Club.

Harley Durward defeated Dayle Pitt 2-1; Will Jacksson defeated Jesse Cook 2-1; Grant Doyle defeated Cheyene Vogler 2-0; Jake Male defeated Jerry Merrin 2-0

With the Country Club winning both doubles the final score was 10-2 in the favour of the Country Club. Logan had a very good win over the Farmers Arms No l side, and for what I have heard Keith Turner played the shot of the season to pot the black to win the doubles with Peter Anderson. Peter was never in doubt.

Ben Pell lost to Ned Gorrie O-2; Shaun McNaulty defeated Shane Cross 2-O; Keith Turner lost to Hayden Perry O-2; Peter Anderson defeated Ben Medlyn 2-O

At the completion of the Singles the scores were level, but then Logan won both doubles and ended up winning the night 6-4.

The game between the Country Club One side and the RSL team was a very good win for the RSL eight games to four.

The scores didn’t indicate how tight some of the games were.

There were 12 games played, and five games were decided on the Black ball.

Mitch Phillips defeated Neil Robinson 2-O; Sam Postlethwaite lost to Paul Mullins 1-2; Kyle Postlethwaie defeated Dan Harkin 2-1; Dave Russ defeated Des Moulday 2-O

With the doubles shared both teams played some great pool.
