Egg-stra special event at Paradise Hall
The dream team of Jodie Clarke and Dee Wiseman put their thinking - and decorated parade hats - on when they began organising the Easter event.
PARADISE Hall was full of egg-cellent energy last Friday night as the community celebrated.
The dream team of Jodie Clarke and Dee Wiseman put their thinking - and decorated parade hats - on when they began organising the Easter event.
“For us it’s about bringing the community together, we’re a small but might one,” Mrs Wiseman said.
“Jodie is so passionate about celebrating holidays like this and we just want to put a smile on people’s faces.
“We started off wanting to fill the gap and put on something for our own kids to enjoy and it’s just grown from there.
Ms Clarke said it was just as enjoyable for the adults in the room as it was for the youngsters.
“It’s a chance for people to come together and see someone they haven’t caught up with for a long time,” she said.
“We just love it.”
One resident said she hadn’t seen the inside of the hall for years and remembered coming in for dances and discos.
More than 70 people filled the Hall with laughter and energy as they shared plates of food, decorated parade hats, played games and waited for the guest of honour to arrive later in the evening.
And so he did, with the children rushing to meet the Easter Bunny a long way down the road.
“We’re so thankful for the support and we can’t wait to see what we can put together next,” Ms Clarke said.
