Even furry friends enjoy winter bowls

Players from the Country Club, Charlton and Donald Golf joined the St Arnaud bowlers for a total of 25, divided into 10 teams of pairs and triples.

AFTER a very cold beginning last Sunday’s Winter Social Bowls afternoon turned into a very nice sunny finish.

Players from the Country Club, Charlton and Donald Golf joined the St Arnaud bowlers for a total of 25, divided into 10 teams of pairs and triples.

There were only two two-game winners, Phil McRae, Gary White and Terence Robertson the best winners taking home the prize-money, 16 shots up, with Col Marchment and Rhonda Pole runners-up nine shots up.

There were some close fought games with two teams winning one by a single shot but losing the next game by one shot.

The next Winter Bowls round will be on August 2.
