Good fun for good cause on Good Friday
Donations of loads of firewood, hampers (no used items) and time on the day are welcome by April 2.
TURN fundraising for a good cause into a day of family fun this Good Friday.
St Arnaud Lions Club members, Friends in Arms Social Club and local businesses will be coming together for their annual fundraiser for the fourth year running.
The Lions Club the local CFA members will be around town Friday morning, shaking tins for loose change.
Lions secretary John Beggs said the team always see an overwhelming amount of support
"The Lions Club of St Arnaud thanks the community of for there incredible support of the Good Friday Appeal," he said.
"We will be making the rounds of St Arnaud and outlining areas from 9.00a.m and you will see the Volunteers rattling their purple tins on fire trucks and Utes making plenty of noise
"This continuing Support of the community will ensure the hospital is able to fund groundbreaking research in state-of-the-art Equipment, education and centred care programs."
And from 2pm, the fun begins.
“This is our fourth year [doing this fundraiser] and it’s better than Christmas,” Farmers Arms publican Alayne Cunningham said.
“It’s an opportunity to bring families together for a great cause.”
There will be a jumping castle, plenty of food and snacks, hotdog eating competition, sausage sizzle and more.
“Our auction that starts at 8pm is always a lot of fun,” co-organiser Nikaela Perry said.
“We get so much support from our local businesses and we know how tough it can be at the moment to let go of stock for donations.”
