Here's to more years of Mummy and Me
And two years later, they’re celebrating all the mums who have come together and put themselves and their bodies first while learning to live with their new little one.

WHAT started as a gap in the market for supportive mum groups has turned into a lifeline for some local mothers.
St Arnaud Physiotherapy Centre director Johanna Medlyn and exercise physiologist Chloe Douglas came up with a way for new mums to connect and reengage with exercise post partum.
And two years later, they’re celebrating all the mums who have come together and put themselves and their bodies first while learning to live with their new little one.
“We’ve had 54 Mums through our program in the 2 years from right across the North Central town,” Ms Medlyn said. “We miss all our mums and bubs from past blocks, so we wanted to have a fun reunion.”
Whether they were new to motherhood or having their third or fourth, mums are invited to join a six-week block of modified exercise and movement.
The “unique and tailored program” is lead by Ms Douglas, whose specialty lies within empowering women both pre and post-natally to feel encouraged, supported and nurtered to get moving.
“The sessions are achievable for new mums of any fitness level, held in a safe and welcoming environment,” Ms Medlyn said.
“We want to be a place where mums can come in for social connection with other mums, be helped back into moving safely and build confidence, while also having some bonding time with their baby.
“We’re so excited to have some great groups of mums already coming through and look forward to welcoming more nex year.”
There are three, six- week blocks in a year for mums to choose from.
