Navies try fight unbeaten Tigers

Sea Lake Nandaly went on a remarkable scoring spree, kicking seven goals in eight minutes to end the opening term with a 51-point lead.
And after Charlton kicked a behind at the 21-minute mark of the second quarter, the Tigers then scored 39 times unanswered to surge to a 236-point win.
Max Cahoon kicked 12 goals and Lachie McClelland added six as 14 Sea Lake Nandaly players got on the scoresheet.
Charlton has been beaten by more than 100 points in every match this year, with a percentage of below 10, and now has a week off with the league-wide bye to try to regroup.
But it doesn’t get any easier for the Navies, with last year’s premiers Calder United awaiting after the bye.
Ruckman Ben Lanyon, the club’s reigning best and fairest winner, has been a shining light for Charlton and he was again among the best players, with Zac Wescott and playing coach Carl Thiesz.
Cahoon was Sea Lake’s best player, with dual Feeny Medal winner Wade Donnan again showing that taking on coaching responsibilities has not affected his playing form.
His co-coach Boyd Bailey was also prolific, with the Tigers leaping to the top of the ladder on percentage after the massive win.
Sea Lake Nandaly will be at home to much improved Donald after the bye.
