Snags sizzle for services
St Arnaud CFA Group secretary Simon Burge said funds like these help keep the brigades in the local region keep going.
THERE was plenty of sausages and fun being had on Saturday morning - all for a good cause.
As they do each year, the Rotary Club of St Arnaud set up the barbeque outside the Town Hall and cooked up a storm.
All money raised from the event would be donated to the St Arnaud CFA group.
St Arnaud CFA Group secretary Simon Burge said funds like these help keep the brigades in the local region keep going.
“On behalf of the St Arnaud CFA Group, I would like to sincerely thank the Rotary Club of St Arnaud and the wider community for their continued support of all brigades across our group area,” he said.
“This generosity plays a vital role in strengthening our emergency response capabilities, ensuring our volunteers are better equipped, trained, and prepared to protect our communities when it matters most.
“The backing we receive locally makes a real and lasting difference, and we are incredibly grateful for that ongoing support.”
Rotary Club of St Arnaud member Peter Marland said it was always a great day out for the team.
“We love being able to do this for our locals,” he said.
“Groups like the CFA brigade and so many others deserve to be supported and we love being able to be a part of it.”
The team raised $400.
