READING a book is the best part of the day for a group of students at St Patrick’s Primary School.

So much so, they sometimes defy their parents to do so.

That’s why saying yes to taking part in this year’s MS Readathon was a no brainer for Harrison Pole and Molly, Maddie, Bonnie and Grace McNally.

“Sometimes mum tells me to go to bed and I sneak my light on to read,” Grace said. “I just love it so much.”

The group is joining students from other St Arnaud schools and thousands around the country taking part in the national fundraiser throughout August.

The MS Readathon invites and inspires thousands of kids across the country to set a reading goal - whether it’s daily reads, longer books, or learning new words. In one month, their focus deepens.

Their confidence grows. And their imaginations take flight.

“Reading teaches you that your imagination can be used for anything,” Maddie said.
