Thrilling netball match ends in draw
It was a very closely contested game, with the purple team just edging in front to be victors over Yellow team.
A LARGE crowd of parents and family gathered Friday evening for the 14C scratch match, providing a great atmosphere.

THE rain held off for a sunny four quarters for the Go netballers in Boort.
Beautiful passages of play saw some goals being scored on the third pass from the centre!
The future is bright for St Arnaud Netball Club. A great team effort.

ST Arnaud and Boort played out a thrilling netball game on the weekend, with the 14B match ending in an exciting draw.
Both teams battled hard from the first center pass, showcasing excellent teamwork strong defence, and determined attacking play.
Neither side was able to gain a decisive advantage, with the score remaining close throughout the game.
The result reflected the intensity and competitiveness of the match. Spectators were treated to an entertaining game and a fitting outcome between two evenly matched sides.
The draw leaves both teams with plenty of positives to take into their upcoming games.

BOORT recorded a convincing victory over St Arnaud in their Grade 14A netball clash.
But the final margin did not fully reflect the determination and effort shown by the St Arnaud side throughout the contest.
The opening quarter was a tightly contested affair, with both teams matching each other across the court. Boort held a narrow 3–2 lead at the first break after an even start.
Strong defensive pressure and effective ball movement helped Boort gain the upper hand in the second term.
Boort’s height advantage at both ends of the court created challenges for St Arnaud in attack and defence. Boort capitalised on their opportunities to stretch the margin into the final term.
To their credit, St Arnaud continued to battle hard until the final siren, refusing to give in despite the scoreboard pressure.

ST Arnaud’s Under 17s faced a tough challenge against Boort on the weekend, with the Magpies running out 70–27 winners.
Despite the result, the Saints showed plenty of positive signs throughout the match with strong passages of play and determined defensive efforts.
The Saints started strongly, displaying great passing into the ring and effective movement from the GA and GS. Their attacking combinations created several scoring opportunities and kept the pressure on the Boort defence.
St Arnaud continued to build with some excellent passages of play. The team maintained their strong delivery into the ring while the mid-court players applied great defensive pressure, working hard to disrupt Boort’s ball movement.
The mid-court players also produced several impressive intercept attempts, showing great anticipation and determination.
The Saints never stopped working, finishing the game with solid defensive pressure in the ring and continuing to contest every possession until the final whistle.

BOORT has recorded a strong 67-51 victory over St Arnaud in an entertaining C Grade netball contest on Saturday.
Boort got off to a flying start, displaying excellent accuracy under the post to open up a lead at the first break.
Their shooters were in fine form early, converting their opportunities and putting pressure on the Saints’ defence.

Despite the deficit, the Saints continued to work hard. Their defenders produced several outstanding efforts, repeatedly getting fingertips to the ball and disrupting Boort’s attacking flow.
St Arnaud also created some valuable turnovers through determined defensive pressure.
The third quarter belonged to the Saints as they lifted their intensity across the court.
Strong defensive work generated multiple turnovers, allowing them to outscore Boort for the term and reduce the margin.
The final quarter featured some consistent passages of play from both sides as the contest settled into an even battle.
St Arnaud continued to compete strongly and moved the ball well through the court, but Boort’s composure and accurate shooting ensured they maintained control.

ST Arnaud B Grade faced a tough challenge against Boort in Round 6, with the Saints showing plenty of determination despite going down to the Pies.
Boort got off to a strong start, Despite an early deficit, St Arnaud continued to work hard across the court, with Millie H combining well through the midcourt alongside Alex Baldwin.
India Griffith provided a strong presence in attack, linking effectively with Georgia Taylor, who impressed with some outstanding shooting.
The Saints lifted their intensity in the second quarter, applying strong defensive pressure through Immy Amos, Leish Petrie and Ava Wilson.
Georgia Taylor continued her solid work under the post, helping St Arnaud claw its way back into the contest.
By halftime, the Saints had fought back brilliantly to level the scores.
As rain set in during the second half, conditions became increasingly difficult.
However, St Arnaud refused to back down, working hard with an outstanding attack and defence throughout the remainder of the match.
Despite the challenging conditions, St Arnaud continued to fight until the final whistle.
