Town will say goodbye to Layla tomorrow
Community members are encouraged to wear a black hoodie or Hello Kitty item.
A FAREWELL will be held tomorrow to remember Donald teen Layla Jeffery.
Community members are welcome to attend the service at Donald Memorial Hall at 1.30pm on Friday and encouraged to wear a black hoodie or Hello Kitty item.
It comes after police confirmed searches in Donald took place over the weekend as part of the investigation into Layla’s death
Residents were told there would be an increase in police presence in the area as detectives gather more information.
At a community meeting in Donald last week, police assured people that an increase in police did not mean there was a risk to the community, it was more to ensure public comfort and support.
Police have said because the matter is still before the court, they are unable to release any more information on the investigation.
Tributes can be left at lifelived.com.au
A livestream for the service will be available on the following link: https://livingitlive.com.au/layla-jeffery
