Young Saints dominate over Magpies

ST ARNAUD Under 14s travelled to Boort in damp and foggy conditions on Saturday and produced a dominant four-quarter performance, controlling the game from start to finish.

However the Saint’s bounced out of the blocks with the first clearance of the match resulted in a terrific goal to Lewis Ezard, setting the tone for the day.
The Saints did all the attacking in the opening term, adding another goal through Lewis Lowe.
At quarter time, the Saints held a commanding lead, with Boort unable to enter their forward 50.
The Saints continued to dominate possession and territory but were unable to capitalise.
A goal to Leo Kay was the highlight of the term, with the Saints heading into the main break leading.
The third quarter continued in similar fashion. Despite creating numerous opportunities, the Saints again struggled to convert their dominance into major scores. A goal to Riley Wilson-Cook was the standout moment, helping the Saints extend their advantage
With a reduced rotation, Boort were able to capitalise, kicking two final-quarter goals and winning the term. However, the result was never in doubt, with the Saints running out comfortable winners.
