Passenger train back to town

Sharon Brown said: “I remember catching the train to St Arnaud when my now 38-year-old was a baby. It is very much needed. It’s so hard to get to Bendigo to catch trains.”
Matt Evans said: “A no-brainer in this economic climate. Only going to get worse. Used to catch the vinelander years ago back and forward to Melbourne.”

Brad Jackson replied to Joanne and said: “How many dollars of sponsorship are rail operators putting into your local sports clubs and community organisations, how much money are they spending with other local businesses and how many locals do they employ in your area? A big fat duck egg on the first point and not even a tenth of what road transport does on the second and third. Be very careful what you wish for.”
